2012 Bat Rule (as listed in the rule book):

 

2:07    The bat shall be an unaltered baseball bat (not softball), with the following age specific requirements:

a)                 For ages 5-12, all non-wood bats “MUST” meet 1.15 BPF (Bat Performance Factor) for the life of the bat and “MUST” possess a “clearly identifiable” manufacture’s certification stamp.  This will include 2 1/4, 2 5/8, and 2 3/4 barrel bats.

·         BBCOR bats are legal for use in ages 5-12.

b)                 For ages 13-19, all non-wood bats “MUST” meet BBCOR (Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution) and “MUST” possess a “clearly identifiable” manufacture’s certification stamp.

·                     A bat shall not weigh numerically more than three ounces less than the length of the bat.

·                     The diameter of the bat shall be no larger than 2 5/8 barrel.

c)                  Bats that are broken, cracked, dented or deface the ball are illegal.

d)                 There shall be no devices, attachments or wrappings that cause the handle to become flush with the knob.

·         Molded grips and Choke up knobs are illegal.

Rivermont - Sign ups for 2012 baseball and Dream League every Saturday in Feb. 10am-2pm.  Tuesday 2/21 6-8pm

East Ridge - Baseball League sign ups will be Jan. 21st,28th and Feb.4th, 11th, 18th and 25th at the East Ridge Community Center on Tombras St. from 10:30-2:30.

Soddy Daisy Kids Club - Baseball/Softball sign-ups held at Soddy Daisy Middle School Gym every Saturday from 12-4 pm. You may sign up online at www.sdkidsclub.com or call Donald Key (423-421-7085) for ages 9-10 or Christene Flint (423-304-3757) for ages 5-6.

Middle Valley - holding spring sports sign ups Saturdays February 4th, 11th, and 18th from 10AM - 2PM.  Please visit www.mvya.org for more info.


Dayton - Youth Baseball sign ups will be on Saturdays Feb. 11th, 18th, 25th at the ball complex from 10:00am to 12:00pm

 



 

 

 

 


 
Any park wanting to host a Dizzy Dean meeting, contact Danny Crowe. Dizzy Dean will pay for the food and drink. 

If your park has changed the contact information please email it to the Dizzy Dean info page so we can change it on the web site,  include a mailing address for future mailings also.
